YOU are My Proof That God Exists!

People often ask me for proof that God exists.

They want tangible, empirical evidence, and I understand that desire. Yet, in some ways, proving God’s existence empirically is impossible because God is not a being confined to the physical world. And yet, ironically, the very fact that people can ask such a question points to a surprising Answer. The ability to ponder existence, to question the divine, to explore abstract concepts beyond survival and instinct—these capabilities are uniquely human and, I would argue, reflect the fingerprint of a Creator in the one asking the question!

Think about it. People as people are able to engage in incredible intellectual feats: we ask why they we exist. We consider our purpose, reflect on both the distant past and the far-off future, and make decisions based on such reflections. This isn’t just survival instinct—it’s abstract reasoning. It’s the ability to weigh possibilities, imagine outcomes, and wrestle with meaning. Your pet doesn’t’ contemplate the meaning of life. You do. These capacities are extraordinary and suggest that humans are more than just advanced animals. They point to something Greater—a being endowed with astonishing intellectual and, dare I say it, Spiritual abilities.

Consider some scientific facts about the human brain. It contains approximately 86 billion neurons, each forming connections with thousands of others, resulting in an estimated 100 trillion synapses—a number so vast it’s almost incomprehensible. Every second, your brain sends electrical signals at speeds of up to 268 miles per hour to coordinate thoughts, actions, and emotions. Your brain generates about 50,000 thoughts per day, filters information, and retains memories that can span decades. It operates with such efficiency that even the most advanced supercomputers can’t replicate its complexity. Beyond its biological intricacies, your brain houses your mind—your consciousness, creativity, morality, and ability to imagine.

How do we account for this extraordinary design? If the universe is purely random, how do we explain the emergence of beings with the capacity to think beyond their physical needs, to ponder their own existence, and even to question God’s existence? The very fact that you are reading this, considering these ideas, and perhaps debating them in your own mind points to something profound. It begs the question – we have more than a brain – God has given us a MIND. We do more than just think… we ponder.

Your ability to reason, reflect, and dream is one of the strongest indicators that you were created by an intelligent being. If there were no God and you were merely a random collection of atoms, why would you have such a capacity for abstract thought, moral reasoning, and spiritual longing? The existence of your mind—your ability to think in such intricate ways—offers profound evidence for the existence of a Creator. You, with your incredible intellect and capacity to question, is my proof that God exists.

God enabled you to think in this way. Why? I believe because He wants a relationship with you. Perhaps it is time for you to consider THE GOD CHALLENGE.
